Creative Dance
An introduction to dance & creative movement for ages 3–5
Focuses on loco motor movements, rhythm, and coordination skills that are required for ballet and other dance disciplines.
Creative Dance 1

Ages 3–4 (first year of preschool)
Fully potty-trained

Solid pink leotard
Prima teachers prefer leotards without large mesh cutouts in the midriff and/or down the front center.
Light pink tights
Pink ballet skirts are allowed, but please ensure the dancer can still see their feet.
Pink ballet shoes
Please ensure ballet shoes have leather, non-slippery bottoms.
Hair in a bun
Students must have their hair up in a slicked-back ballet bun (or off the face and neck for those with shorter hair).
Boys:
Plain T-shirt
Exercise joggers
Black ballet shoes

Creative Dance 2

Ages 4–5 (second year of preschool)

Broadway Babies

A fun musical theatre class for students ages 3-5. Dancers will be exposed to jazz, ballet, lyrical, and other styles found in Broadway musicals.

Fully potty-trained

Girls who also take Creative Dance in addition to Broadway Babies:
Light pink tights
Girls who take just Broadway Babies:
Light pink tights or plain leggings

Students will be introduced to tumbling, balance, strength, and flexibility skills. They will also practice social skills such as working with a group, waiting for their turn, and listening to directions.
